Bare Minerals recently released a line of cream eyeshadows, once again riding on the “BB” train. I received this sample in my last Ipsy bag. Since then, I’ve been testing it out, and it’s pretty impressive! My shade is “Barely Nude”.
Meet the next generation in eyeshadow: creamy, long-wearing color meets exceptional skincare benefits and broad spectrum SPF protection. Chock-full of skin-loving ingredients, this breakthrough product delivers 5 benefits in one luxurious formula:
1.) 12-hour long-wearing color
2.) Super-charged primer
3.) Powerful brightening benefits
4.) Smoothes fine lines
5.) Protects with SPF
The shadow comes in a tube and has a lip gloss type applicator, the same applicator that the Bare Minerals highlighting concealers have.
There are certainly a lot of claims with this cream shadow, but I have to say that they are mostly true (I haven’t been using this long enough to make any judgements about line improvement). This shadow is VERY long wearing. Once it dries on the lids, it stays until it is removed, without fading. Also, you don’t need much! A little goes a long way.
It sets very quickly, so if you don’t work fast enough, it might get difficult to blend. It covers the lid and provides a smooth canvas for eyeshadow application. I would never wear Barely Nude alone, but there are other colors in the line that are suitable for wearing by themselves.
If MAC Paint Pots don’t work for you, this might be a good option if you want something long-wearing. There are ten shades in the line and they are $18. I think I’m going to purchase the full-size tube in Candlelit Peach. 🙂
