The Bite Beauty High Pigment lip pencil in Meritage is described as “Brick Red”, but I think this color is pretty unique, at least compared to colors I already own. This is a mini pencil from the Sephora Give Me Some Lip Kit, otherwise they retail for $24 a piece. If you don’t already know, Bite Beauty makes their products with food-grade ingredients, so they are safe to ingest.
Made with a double-dose of premium micronized pigments, this lip pencil delivers a modern matte look. This lip color delivers super antioxidant resveratrol, which fights free radicals with potent long-term antiaging benefits. Each lip pencil contains the amount of resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine.
These are supposedly matte pencils, but I personally find them to be more of a satin finish than matte.
I really like this color. It is not something I would pick out on my own, but I think this is going to be gorgeous for fall. It is long wearing (about 3 hours, but I am always sipping water) and VERY comfortable. I think the person with the biggest aversion to lipsticks would like Bite Beauty! This lip pencil is very creamy. It literally feels as soft as butter.
This pencil is a winner and I definitely want to check out some other shades, especially the coral colors! 🙂
