Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color is my first lipstick from the makeup legend’s line, and I AM IN LOVE WITH IT! If you have dry lips like I do, this is a fantastic lipstick formula to consider. I purchased the color Nectar directly from the Bobbi Brown website.
Nectar is described as a “soft peach shimmer”. It leans a little pink on me, and the shimmer is very slight. The coverage is really good in one swipe. The formula reminds me of a more amped up Revlon lip butter. It’s creamier and more moisturizing. It’s like upgrading to a higher thread count on bedsheets. 🙂
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Creamy Lip Color combines rich color with comfortable, long-lasting wear and a soft, creamy shine. With emollient shea butter and plant-derived skin conditioners, this amazing formula glides on smooth, wears all day, and leaves lips soft and moisturized.
The only thing I disagree with is the “long-lasting” part. I guess this is debatable. It doesn’t wear off in an hour, but it doesn’t last for eight hours either. It wears off easily when drinking or eating, but I don’t mind this, as I’ve said many times I prefer shorter/average times when wearing lip products.
Even though I certainly have an affinity for peach colors, I don’t have a dupe for Nectar.
Nectar, Sonia Kashuk Sheer Pink Lust, Marc Jacobs Strange Magic, MAC Japanese Maple, MAC Altered Beige
The closest match was definitely Japanese Maple, although it is not as opaque as Nectar.
This is the creamiest, most comfortable lipstick I’ve ever worn, even more so than the Too Faced La Creme lipsticks. I would love to get another shade. 🙂
It looks gorgeous on you! I love that the shimmer is so fine 😉 xx

Thank you! 🙂
I’m distrusting of claims by any glossy (or non-matte) lipsticks when it comes to longevity. Buuut… nice lippie all the same. 🙂
Yeah, for sure! 😀 It isn’t “long-lasting” in my opinion, but I don’t mind!
