MAC Hush Cream Colour Base

MAC Cream Colour Base in Hush is a cream highlight. This one is from the Pedro Lourenco collection, which was, in my opinion, underrated! πŸ™‚ It is part of the regular, permanent line, so you can still pick this up in regular MAC packaging.

Hush is described as “soft peach with icy shimmer”, and it is probably the best highlighter I have found for my skin tone. The “icy” shimmer seems more gold than silvery, at least to my eye.

These are the worst swatches ever, because when I got this product in the mail, it was a REALLY hot day. I wasn’t expecting my product to be so soft, and I picked up wayyyy too much product for my swatch. 😦 SAD! Whoops! That’s why it looks so chunky and thick. Clearly, this needs to be way sheered out.

What I love about the MAC CCBs is that they are super easy to blend and they don’t look greasy. They’re also very lightweight. Hush is a frost, but when it is blended into the skin, it truly gives a beautiful, subtle glow. I love this color and find it really flattering to my natural skin color. If you have neutral skin like I do, you may like this shade!

Oh, Melissa, that is a truly stunning color! It looks so beautiful in the compact, too. I’m a cool toned-leaning into neutral redhead. I will HAVE to have this; I think it will work and not be too warm. Please post a pic of you in it! And you are right, matching your skin tone to a highlighter shade is good if you can find that HG!

This looks like such a nice product. Do you apply is just with your fingers or do you use a particular brush?
