Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Canvas

Hourglass has two shades of their Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in mini sizes, and I recently picked up the shade Canvas, described as “soft rose beige.” This shade must be pretty popular, because as I write this, the full-size is sold out, and I can see why!

This is a very teeny-tiny sample (.03 ounces) that sells for $10, compared to $28 for the full-size (.10 ounces). I love the sleek packaging and that there is really no wasted space. The brush is a traditional flat but flexible wand.

I really like this color, which I’m sure is no surprise! It seems to have a touch of peach to it. This is a versatile color that will look good on all kinds of complexions. True to its name, this product is very opaque and pigmented.

The product description claims that this will last for 14 hours. I did not test that claim, but this is very long lasting. I usually am sipping on something all day long, and it stayed on the entire time, barely leaving anything on the lip of my bottle.

Even though this is matte, I found that it went on smoothly and it didn’t dry out my lips. It seems like a more silky, easier-to-wear version of the NYX Matte Lip Creams. Canvas is a great way to try out this formula. They also have another color in the travel size, Icon, which is their classic red shade (I have this too that I received as a free sample previously).

Although I haven’t tried a lot of items from Hourglass, I have to say that I have loved everything that I HAVE tried, including this gorgeous lippie! What are your favorite products from Hourglass?

That is beautiful on you! I adore Hourglass. They are my go to for powders and now, luminizing blushes. Their new 3 palette blush at Sephora is now in my big time rotation. (The LE peach shade would look awesome on you.) Their powders and blushes are the only ones that do not accentuate my huge pores or settle into my fine lines around my eyes. I don’t have any other of their products other than powders & blush. Would love to try more but they’re rather pricey.

Thank you, Erin! 🙂 The peach shade is the one that I want in that palette the most! Still thinking about getting that palette…I love the powders!
