NARS Audacious Lipstick in Juliette

So. Much. Hype. Right? I could not wait to get my hands on one of these new NARS Audacious lipsticks. The reviews have been fantastic, but at $32 a pop, they are pretty expensive. Some of my favorite and most trusted lippie reviewers really like these, so I finally ended up purchasing Juliette after mulling over the huge selection of shades.

The packaging and lipstick itself is very chic. It closes with a magnetic clasp, which is much appreciated. “NARS” is also engraved in the side of the lipstick. I don’t know why, but I love when my lipsticks have that- it just makes them feel fancy!

True to other reviews, this lipstick is highly pigmented and you don’t need to build it up whatsoever. Juliette is a beautifully bright coral shade. I did not notice that it had any kind of scent.

AL4Juliette, Revlon Coralberry, MAC Sunny Seoul, MAC Coral Bliss, MAC Crosswires

Not an exact dupe, but MAC Crosswires is similar to Juliette.

The finish seems to be a satin-matte (very little matte, but a touch). Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to fall in love with this lipstick line, I find this formula very drying. 😦 Wearing a lip balm under this is an absolute must for me. If you don’t have dry lips, this will probably be a great addition to your lipstick stash, because you don’t have to work for the color at all. I’ll just have to stick with the MAC cremesheen formula and my slowly growing obsession: Bite Beauty!

Have you tried these? What do you think of them?

Thanks for yor review! I was feeling left out not getting one of these, but I definitely can’t take lipsticks that are at all drying. Now I don’t feel like I’m missing out 🙂

I bought one in Fanny, a cross between a raspberry and a deep plum and I love it! It’s neither drying nor nourishing on me, so it doesn’t bother me too much. I can see what you’re saying though, for the price point it should be the more comfortable! Bite lipsticks are the best formula for the price in my opinion.

Oh I love Fanny!! I’ve seen a lot of people on YouTube liking that one! 🙂 I wish it wasn’t drying for me since I love the colors and the pigmentation is outstanding! I just ordered that Bite lip mix set from Sephora…can’t wait to get it! 😀
