Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup Review

Earlier this year, in the summer, I kept hearing about this new Estee Lauder foundation, so I stopped by a counter and picked up a couple samples of it. This is an anti-aging foundation.

Instantly brighten skin with this innovative formula from Estée Lauder. Recommended for all skin types, it reduces the look of lines, nourishes with oil-free hydration, and creates a radiant finish.

The samples I chose are 2W1 Dawn, and 2C1 Pure Beige. To be honest, these were such close matches to my skin tone that I can easily switch them up without a problem.

This foundation has many positive attributes. It does provide a radiant finish. What I really appreciate is that it looks like skin. It doesn’t look cakey or fake when it is built up for more coverage; however, it is not full coverage like Estee Lauder Double Wear (not a problem for me, as I prefer sheer to medium foundations). This is a medium coverage foundation that is easily sheered out. The texture is nice too- it’s very soft and silky.

I think this foundation is nice, but it just didn’t wow me. I didn’t find that it wore very well on me throughout the day, as it began to look patchy around the 5-hour mark. This also has a strong scent that fades with application. Personally, this doesn’t bother me, but those sensitive to scents may not like that.

If you’re near a counter, it is worth trying a sample if you’re in the market for a new foundation. My skin didn’t have any reactions to it, and it doesn’t feel heavy. 🙂

Have you tried this? What new foundations have you tried lately?

Hi Melissa, actually that foundation looks lovely on you (I think), but wear time is important. Lately, I’ve tried the Maybelline Dream Wonder and one by L’oreal- neither wowed me. Of course I think I got too pale of a shade in the Dream Wonder- would help if I got the color right!- I thought the Dream Wonder was difficult to apply, and coverage was too light for me. Btw, your brows and brow highlighter look lovely- what are you using? Also, keep forgetting to ask you- what was the name of that online reduced cosmetics site? You called it by 3 initials. Thanks!

Thank you, Erin! 🙂 Lately I’ve been wearing MUFE Aqua Brow and the highlighters I’ve been using are Becca Moonstone and Bobbi Brown Sandstone! 🙂 I have heard that the L’Oreal and Maybelline Dream Wonder are *exactly* the same, but I don’t know how true that is! What do you think? The store I mentioned is the CCO- Cosmetics Company Outlet! 🙂
