I’ve been meaning to review this Mary Kay Microdermabrasion set for quite some time. My BFF gifted this to me last year at Christmas. If you’ve been reading here for awhile, you’ve probably heard me mention how much I love exfoliants, so of course I was excited to test this gift out!
This two-part system immediately fights fine lines, reduces the appearance of pores, and creates noticeably softer, smoother-feeling skin with a healthy, more radiant-looking glow.
I’ve rationed this out throughout the year because I like it so much. My skin always feels refreshed and clean after using it. The exfoliator is very gentle, comparable to some of my favorites, like Philosophy’s Microdelivery wash and Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion cleanser. The Mary Kay exfoliator is more gentle than the Dr. Brandt and I like this one a lot more.
The second step in the system, Replenish, adds moisture back into the skin. It is not sticky and it makes my skin feel really soft. It sinks into the skin easily and doesn’t make it feel greasy, as it is oil and fragrance free. This is also suitable for all skin types.
I’ve tested these out separately too, and they definitely are more effective as a pair. I love how the serum balances out the stripping of the exfoliant. There’s another “Replenishing Serum” with Vitamin C, which I want to try as well. I’ve found that my skin really loves Vitamin C, as I used to use the Avalon Organics Vitamin C moisturizer, and I currently use the Valentia Vitamin C serum. I’ve also had good results with Ole Hendrickson Vitamin C Truth Serum.
I definitely notice when I DO use this compared to when I don’t. Maybe it’s just me noticing, but I feel like I look more refreshed. I’ve never had bad skin, so I like to take care of it. This set plus my beloved Desert Essence Tea Tree Face Wash are on the top of my skincare list.
