Lookbook: Silver Sparkle

LB4

Hello! Today I have a look that is kind of soft, but still with a lot of color. I used the Starlooks palette last year’s December box (I purchased this before subscribing), including that gorgeous matte cranberry shade that really pops out in the photo. I also loaded on the silver shade on the inner corners of my eyes. I love how bright it is!

I’m having a hard time getting my photos to accurately reflect colors lately. The sun is rarely out, and when it snows everything has a bright white cast. I take all of my photos in natural light and don’t touch them up, so sometimes I look a little washed out. The joys of living in the north! 😉 Here’s what I wore:

FACE

Mary Kay TimeWise Luminious Foundation in Beige 2 (reviewed here– testing again)
Mary Kay Foundation Primer
Maybelline Dream Matte powder in Honey
Hourglass Blush in Mood Exposure
Hourglass Dim Light (highlight)
MAC Prolongwear Bronzer in Sun Dipped
NARS Creamy Concealer (under eyes)
MAC Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder (under eye set powder)
MAC Fix+

EYES

Starlooks New Year’s Eve 2014 palette- Olive green, cranberry, cream, and silver shades
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
Physicians Formula 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner
Jane Cosmetics eyeliner in Kelly Green
MAC Brow Gel in Deep Dark Brunette

LB5
LIPS

Starlooks Lip Liner in Roseate
MAC Angel Lipstick

I have a serious relationship with that Starlooks lip liner. 🙂 I also decided to try out the Mary Kay luminous foundation again and am going to write a first impressions review on the primer.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Melissa, I have to say that this is one of your loveliest looks ever. Your face looks absolutely flawless~ are there any of these products you found absolutely essential in creating such an even, luminous look? I’m looking for a new concealer- any thoughts on how this would wear on mature eyes? (I’m 51, for reference!) I need something that is creamy to blend, and won’t tug. You almost look like you tightlined your lower lashes. So many nice things to say here- the MAC lippie is one for me to try (moisturizing?) Will look into the Bite Beauty lippie you recc. for me on my next Sephora mini-haul!

Thank you, Erin! 🙂 I would say my two go-to products are definitely my Maybelline powder (which is discontinued, sadly) and highlighter, just a little bit on the tops of the cheekbones. I really like the NARS concealer for my eyes. My under-eye area is pretty sensitive, and with NARS I use the EcoTools concealer brush, and it is a very gentle way to conceal under eye circles! MAC Angel is a frost finish, but it is comfortable to wear. I don’t find it drying. Let me know how you like the Bite lippie! 🙂

PS I was asking about the NARS creamy concealer & your thoughts.
