November 2014 Ipsy Bag

ipsy1

I’m sorry this photo is so dark. It’s that time of year where the sun is basically NEVER out. *Tears*…it really gets to me! Anyway, my Ipsy bag has arrived and I’m not sure what I think about it just yet. The theme is “Girl Meets Glitter”, and the bag is a silver sparkly pouch. It’s cute, but the material is really flimsy and cheap. I think I’m going to use this in my car with a few emergency winter items, like mittens, those hand warmers that hunters use, etc.- just in case I get stranded somewhere. Now, stepping outside of survival mode, here’s what was in my bag!

Be a Bombshell Eye Base in Submissive– I love cream eye bases, so I’m sure I will like this, but I’m a little afraid to try this brand again after the awful mascara fiasco from a few months back. I’m also finding this brand to be a little repetitive. The color is nice. It’s a warm golden brown.

Elizabeth Mott You’re So Fine Eyeliner– Um, I have issues with this…

ipsy2…LOOK at that brush. I am going to try this out, but I have a feeling it is going to be a disaster. There are chunks of glitter in it, which is why it looks lumpy. But yeah, that brush! YIKES!

J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint in Red Potion– This is REALLY dark. Hopefully it goes on well, but I’ve read in reviews that it is really runny and watery. One Ipsy reviewer said she was saving it for fake blood for next Halloween! I will definitely test it out myself, of course.

Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray– I don’t use hairspray often, but I loved the Marc Anthony beach waves spray I received in the summer, so I’m looking forward to trying this.

Temptu S/B Highlighter– This looks really beautiful in the tube! It’s cool-toned white with some pink pearl in it. I have never tried Temptu before, so I’m looking forward to using this.

My favorite items this month are the hairspray and the highlighter, but this bag was pretty much a dud for me. I decided to retake the Ipsy match quiz and see if that helps.

What did you get this month?
