Lookbook: Classic Red Lip + Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Review

Happy Birthday to my DAD today! 🙂

Every once in awhile, I go through a smokey eye, red lip phase. While I love how black shadow looks on others, I’ve never been a real fan of it on myself; instead, I prefer brown. That said, this is a look that makes me feel really feminine and classic, which I love. Here’s what I used!

Awhile back, I purchased a small Laura Mercier set from Sephora that contained two mini items, including this highlighting powder. It’s really beautiful and definitely my kind of color, as it is a pink-beige shade.

Although it says “matte” radiance, it does have some shimmer and glitter, so it is not your traditional matte. That said, I don’t find it to be that way on the skin. It leaves behind a beautiful sheen.

I’m very happy to have the mini size, and I’ve been gravitating toward this a lot this month (don’t be surprised if when it’s in my favorites!).

    Hi Melissa,
Happy Birthday to your Dad! I just love your beauty blog! Smokey eyes with red lips looks awesome on you. I have brown eyes and just love smokey brown eyes too but I pair mine with a pale pink lipstick. I wish I could pull off red lips. Have a great day!
