November 2014 Beauty Favorites!

Get ready- there are A LOT of favorites in this post, including some from last month! 🙂

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
Starlooks Roseate lip pencil
Sonia Kashuk Roseberry lipstick

Other favorites:

Sonia Kashuk Jazzed Up Nudes palette– See review here. LOVE this palette!

Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick– What can I say? The holidays are here, and I’m wearing red! Reviewed here.

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet– Ugh…I LOVE this perfume! I definitely want to get the full-size once my mini is used up. It smells beautiful! My hubby loves it too!

MAC Eclair Paint Pot– This was limited edition from the Baking Beauties collection. It’s a beautiful coppery bronze color.

Make Up For Ever #140 Highlighting Brush– This brush has changed my highlight game. It is so soft and I love the taper. I picked this up during the VIB sale, and I’m so glad that I did!

Urban Decay Honey eyeshadow- Funny story about this eyeshadow- I saw this reviewed on Temptalia fairly recently, fell in love, and couldn’t find it anywhere. Then this month, I pulled out a Z-palette of mine full of mostly UD shadows. I was looking at this shade, and it dawned on me that I already HAVE Honey, only it was in a palette. What a happy surprise! 🙂 I love this over Eclair.

Mary Kay Honey Spice eyeshadow– I’m just a little obsessed with this is seriously AMAZING. My BFF gave me a sample of it, and I could not wait to get my hands on the full size. It’s a shimmery peach highlight.

Ardency Inn Pigment in Heaven– It doesn’t look like much in the photo above, but this is a gorgeous color; it has a vintage metal vibe.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light– Thank you to reader Erin for this recommendation. I love this powder!! The color is incredible and the finish is beautiful.

F1Viva Glam Rihanna, Roseberry, Heaven, Honey, Kitten, Mood Light, Eclair

Starlooks Black Gel Eyeliner– I’ve had this for awhile now, and I’m just starting to get into it. This is so easy to apply and it stays all day. I love it!

Physicians Formula 3-in-1 Eyeliner– A rediscovered favorite. I love how easy this is to use!

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer– This is basically my holy grail primer. I love it! I was using this sparingly, but now that I picked up a backup in the VIB sale, I’m using this more often.

Stila Highlighter in Kitten– This goes with everything. 🙂 Definitely one of my favorites.

Dermalogica Daily Microexfoliant– Really enjoying this skincare! Review here.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara– Once again Maybelline has created a fantastic mascara. In my humble opinion, they are the rulers of mascara in the makeup world. I love the wand on this one!

Hi Melissa, I just love reading your beauty faves for the month~ so many good shares and things to try. Glad you like the Hourglass Moodlight powder~ I do love the finish. It doesn’t accentuate my fine lines, wrinkles or oil well pores. At 51 years old, that’s something to be very seriously happy with. I’m dying to try the Hourglass Mineral Primer. It must be exquisite as I see the large size sold out all the time. Maybe a splurge for me is in order? Can you actually wear it alone to just improve your bare skin? I don’t wear foundation a ton. Here are my repeats and loves- going to try and keep it abbreviated! (futile on my part) 😉
Hourglass Blush Palette- the “middle” color is called ‘Incandescent Electra.’ It’s a beautiful, soft peachy-pink with a soft warming glow. Just love it on my pale ivory skin.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Moodlight: Holy Grail finishing Powder
Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara: Adore this on my sparse, ashy brown brows! I have it in Soft Brown and also the Blonde. I much prefer the soft brown shade- the blonde shade is too warm for me. Application is key- you first brush it “against the grain,” then fwds. (meaning first brush it all the way starting backwards in your brows, then brush it all the way forwards. Works so well and it is a very natural look. {I’ve long brushed my brows backwards to blend powder brow makeup and bush my eyebrows up to make them look thicker. Not surprised this technique works so well!})
Mary Kay Lipstick: I can’t remember the formula name, darn it!, and it’s not on the tube! It is an anti-aging formula that is supposed to help diminish the look of those blasted vertical lip lines. Anyways, the colors I have are ‘Natural Beaute’ and ‘Color Me Coral.’ The Natural Beaute is a Your Lips But Better (YLBP) nude pin- great for everyday looks, and the coral is a medium, peachy-warm-pink. Both colors are sheer, do help with lip lines, light gloss finish but exquisite when topped with extra gloss. The tube is unique- silver case and lippie pushed down from the top of the tube which has a clear, plastic window.
Tarte Clay Blush- Shade is called ‘Classic.” Is part of that new Holiday 2014 (4) blush set. The color is a delicious warm, peach-rosy pink. Just glows on my skin. I think it might be a unique shade to this collection and not a permanent shade, but could be wrong on that.
Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner Pen in Black- Precise and long wearing
MUFE Aqua Shadow Waterproof Crayon in Dark Brown (2E)- GREAT basic deep, dark brown and SUPER over the Kat Von D eyeliner pen to cover goofs and soften the line. Picked up those reccs. & tip on another site- fab idea.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness- covers angry red zits most well.
    New finds!
Bobbi Brown ‘Copper Diamonds’ Shimmer Brick- soft, sheer golden glow. No obnoxious glitter or sheen. Still playing with this!
Prestige Cosmetics Matte Eyeshadow in ‘Purity’- This was an INCREDIBLE drugstore find recc.’d by another site. The formula is what I read about- a soft, buttercream dream. The shade ‘Purity’ is a nude peach, and I used it to highlight my browbone. At $5.95, a complete beauty steal. I read that Prestige is a brand that it often overlooked, and now with this particular product, I see why. It’s a new buy, so I have to play with it more to see about wear time, etc. Unfortunately, my Rite-Aid only had about 8 shades total, half matte, half frost. I went to their website, and they do have more. I saw an adorable little eyeshadow palette shaped like a fold up make up vanity for $12.95. I think it’s going to have to find its way to my house soon.

I have more, but this has gotten way too long. Perhaps best saved for another time! Enjoy this Holiday Season everyone, and thanks go to Melissa for having such an awesome blog!!

Hi Erin- Thank you for sharing!! 🙂 You have the True Dimensions lipstick from Mary Kay. I also have Color Me Coral! I’m actually planning a big post about those lipsticks because I LOVE them!! Funny you should mention Prestige- I was just looking at them this weekend. I may have to go back and check it out some more. I’ve also heard they are totally underrated but never really explored the brand!
