Maraschino from Bite Beauty is a vibrant, cherry red matte lip crayon. This is a mini that I picked up during the VIB sale. The minis are a great way to try out Bite Beauty. It’s also way easier to use up things in mini sizes, and to get a feel for how you like them. 🙂
This arrives with a pointier tip; alas, I had used it by the time of taking these photos. This matte pencil is very creamy and easy to apply. I found that it did not bleed despite several hours of wear. Although it is matte, it applies with some shine, and then seems to dry into a more matte finish with wear.
As with their lipsticks, the crayons are also incredibly moisturizing. The pointed tip makes it easy to apply. I did have to do some clean-up since my lip line isn’t super defined.
I did find that with some wear, my lips felt a little dry, so I ended up putting a gloss on top. It isn’t so dry that moisture is sucked out out of my lips, but it is something I noticed.
I found that this is a decently long-lasting lip pencil. I wore it throughout the day while I was running errands with my husband. I like this pencil, but I like the Bite Beauty lipsticks more since they are so moisturizing. That said, these are definitely worth trying while Sephora is carrying the minis! 🙂
