Eddie Funkhouser First Impression Reviews

The Eddie Funkhouser makeup and brush line is a lesser known brand, but after reading some rumblings about it here and there, I picked up three items from Dermstore back in November: the Ultra Definition Bronze & Sculpt Powder in Pyramid Bronze, Skinny Dip Chromagraphic lipstick, and the All Over Eye Brush.

All three items were very affordable and I’m happy with the quality, particularly the chic black packaging. Of the bunch, my favorite is the Bronze & Sculpt powder ($12.99). Although it’s looking a bit washed out here, the color selection is really nice!

The powder has 5 strips of color, all with a satin finish (the second shade leans on satin-matte). The texture of the powder is lovely. It’s very soft, but not too soft where it can’t be controlled. I’ve been swirling all of the colors together and using it as a blush, as the end result is a light brown peach color.

The lipstick ($11.99) is really comfortable and doesn’t dry out my lips. The finish is similar to MAC Cremesheen in formula. Skinny Dip is a pink nude. Not knowing the formula, I went with a safe color. 🙂

I really like the All Over Eye brush ($8.99) too, and would love to try other brushes in the line. It is super soft and blends well. I use this for the crease. One of the things I love about this brush is how the ferrule and handle so seamlessly blend together. It feels super sturdy!

Overall, I’m really pleased with everything and now I want to try more from the line, particularly the foundation, blush, and more brushes!
