Happy New Year! I’m here today with the next “Best of the Brand” round, this time featuring Urban Decay. The first round was MAC, and you can check that out here.
I have been a fan of Urban Decay for a long time; they were one of the first mid-range beauty brands that I fell in love with. In the late 90s, I used to lust after their eyeshadows in magazines. 🙂 Here are what I consider their best five products, which may differ for you!
Let’s get the obvious out of the way: The Naked palettes. I love these. I love all three of them. My favorite is Naked 2, but all three of them are seriously wonderful. They are pigmented, easy to blend, have a great variety of colors, and can be worn on just about any skin color.
Naked 3: Nooner and Factory
Naked 2: Snakebite and Pistol
Naked 1: Toasted and Buck
These are NOT overrated palettes (at least in my humble opinion). Whenever I’m going to travel and am unsure of what type of palette to bring, it’s always one of these.
Next up are the Revolution lipsticks. I previously reviewed them here. Since then I have received a small size of another (Naked) and purchased Mrs. Mia Wallace from the Pulp Fiction collection. I love the formula and find it is very comfortable on my lips.
The Ultra Nourishing Lip Gloss is something I recently reviewed, and it has become something I am wearing daily! It is the perfect gloss for my dry lips. 🙂
Naked Skin BB Cream– I can’t believe this is in my favorites. My first impression was not favorable, but over time I have grown to love this BB cream, and am almost down to the last bit of the tube. It feels soft and is perfect to put on when I want SPF and a touch of coverage to even out my complexion. You can read my original review here, though it was not very positive!
Finally, the De-Slick Spray. This is my fifth bottle of the XL size (I stocked up when they lowered the price and changed packaging), so it is definitely a favorite product of mine. I use this daily. Although I have tried other setting sprays and like them, I always come back to De-Slick! I usually just spray it and stick my face in the mist, but on occasion I spray it onto a kabuki brush before applying foundation.
What are your favorites from Urban Decay? Overall, I think this is one brand that is consistently good with few duds. 🙂
