Old Favorites: Body Oils

oils

I mentioned some oils that I’m currently testing awhile back, so I thought it would be fun to show some of my old favorites as well.

First up are The Body Shop oils; the one pictured is in Sweet Lemon. I love these oils and have had many scents. Usually, I use them for shaving. They sink into my skin easily and I’m left smelling great and with soft skin.

Desert Essence Jojoba Oil is something I use for just about everything. I love how gentle this oil is. It removes makeup, including waterproof makeup, and it is a great skin conditioner. The bottle is full here, but since taking this photo I have completely used it up!

Bobbi Brown Beach smells just like the perfume, and it comes in a heavy duty glass bottle. I love layering this with the perfume.

Josie Maran Argan Oil Light– As the name implies, this is lighter than the original, which makes it perfect as a winter time moisturizer for me.

Josie Maran Argan Oil (Regular)- I use this on the ends of my hair, which makes them look less dry. If I have any super dry areas on my skin, I’ll use this as well.

Now Peppermint Oil– I’ve been using peppermint oil as a pick-me-up since I was in high school. I dab a bit on my temples if I feel the need to wake up a bit, or if I just want to be able to concentrate a little more. I also rub it on sore muscles after a long run.

Do you have any oil favorites? 🙂

It really took me until this year to realize how incredible oils are. The Josie Maran oils are amazing as night-time face moisturizers!

I’ve only been using oils for the face, but now I’m curious about using them on the body because of The Body Shop. Are they better at locking in moisture than the body butters?
