The Coastal Scents Winterberry palette is nothing new as it was released in 2010, but it is new to me and I am seriously loving it! It is a cool-toned palette with all shimmer colors. I purchased mine from Zulily.
I like the design of this palette. It has a HUGE mirror, and the palette is magnetic, so you can pop the pans out easily and replace them when they run out, or add different colors to it. This is also useful in being able to see what shades are in here. I have a lot of hot pots, but I only had one that was already in this palette.
All of the colors in this palette are highly pigmented and smooth to work with. If you require a matte blending color, you will not like this palette. Everything in it is shimmery; however, the shade selection is really nice.
I don’t think the intensity of the swatches is coming through very well in the natural light due to all of the snow that has fallen in the last few days. Everything is really bright and white outside, so it does create a pale cast in photos. The swatches are in the order of the palette:
Top row: Light Pink, Silver Lilac, Light Plum, and White Silver
Middle row: Mauve Frost, Amethyst, Steel Grey, and Thulian PinkBottom row: Tyrian Purple, Lavender, Raisin Berry, and Regalia Purple
The shade I already had is Raisin Berry!
Wearing Lavender all over the lid, Light Plum in the crease, and White Silver on the lids as well- Becca Moonstone is the brow highlight!
Overall, this palette is a win for me! 🙂 It is currently for sale on the Coastal Scents website for $13, but at the time of writing this, it is out of stock. If you love purple and pink eyeshadow and aren’t afraid of a little shimmer, this is a great palette pick for you!
One more thing about Coastal Scents- when you purchase items from their website and you make an account, you can earn points for future purchases. Just an FYI, even though I did purchase this from Zulily!
