This month I finally purchased a few of the Milani Bella Eyes eyeshadows after hearing other bloggers and vloggers rave about them. They were never available in my area, and I didn’t want them enough to order online, so when I saw them at Meijer I decided to pick up a few shades: Bella Gold, Bella Ivory, and Bella Chiffon.
The texture of these shadows is interesting. It’s a very soft powder that feels like gel. It almost has a cooling sensation to the touch, but not when you apply it to the eyes.
I was disappointed in the pigmentation of the gold shade when I wore it on the lids. Even with primer, it faded pretty quickly and wasn’t as vibrant as I expected it to be. Then, I dropped it on floor accidentally, and it shattered into a million pieces. I’m just glad it wasn’t the other two shades that fell, because I really like them!
Bella Ivory is a lovely pink toned highlight, and Bella Chiffon (my favorite) is a white gold toned highlight. Again, they aren’t super long lasting, but I really like these two shades for highlighting around the eye. I even used Bella Chiffon on my cheekbones one day.
I won’t be purchasing more of these shadows, but I do like the highlight shades.
