First Impressions: Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Review

I have all sorts of foundation samples to test out, and I was eager to try the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation, since I have heard so many great things about it. My sample is in the shade Warm Beige, which turned out to be a good match for me and similar to other foundation colors I’ve used before.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION (from Sephora)

This long-wearing formula evens tone, minimizes the appearance of pores, conceals imperfections, and offers broad-spectrum UV protection. Its hydrating technology leaves skin feeling cushioned, comfortable, and clean.

For some reason I expected this foundation to be thicker in texture. It is actually quite fluid and runny. That isn’t a complaint; I just had a different expectation based on reviews I’ve read or watched in the past. The fluidity was a nice surprise, as it was very easy to blend. This is a light foundation that builds up to medium coverage, so if you’re a full coverage person, you probably won’t like this.

I was able to get a few uses out of the foundation packet and got a good feel for how it wears. I was really impressed with how this foundation wears. It looked flawless upon application, like so many foundations do, but it actually stayed that way all day long, for over 8 hours!

It did not feel heavy or cakey on my skin either; it was very comfortable to wear. I can’t stand putting on a foundation, and being able to feel it- to the point where it makes my skin itchy, if that makes sense. I used a flat-top kabuki from BH Cosmetics to blend it into my skin, and it was really easy to work with. I did not experience any irritation or breakouts with my skin either.

Overall, a big thumbs up from me! I would definitely purchase this in the future!
