I’ve already written about the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor eyeshadows in the past, so I thought it would be fun to post a very easy look created with it. If you haven’t used these shadows before, there is definitely a learning curve, because they are SO pigmented and they dry fairly quickly. Here, I used the color Rio De Rose Gold.
This is just a super simple eye look that allows the rose gold color to shine. I used MAC Constructivist on the lid as a base, and after that applied the Josie Maran shadow on top. With a fluffy blending brush, I very lightly brushed NARS Yamal into the crease and blended up to the brow bone to diffuse the harsh line that you may get from applying the rose gold color. I used Stila Kitten highlighter to create a subtle highlight on the brow bone, and skipped the eyeliner. I did use Physician’s Formula mascara (Organic Wear, green tube!). I also applied Kitten to the inner corners of the eyes.
You definitely don’t need the exact same colors I used to do this; any kind of neutral crease color and subtle highlight shade will work. I used Kitten because they are in a similar color family.
What I like about these shadows is that they really brighten the eyes and you don’t need to do much to make them really pop. While they can be worn alone, I like to doctor it up just a little for a more completely look, since it hardly takes any time at all. 🙂
