Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette Review

revealed

Well, I finally caved and purchased one of the Revealed palettes from Coastal Scents. What prompted me to do so is my love of the CS Hot Pots. I bought this during their Black Friday sales and have had some time to test it out.

A lot of people have touted this as an Urban Decay Naked 3 dupe. I think there are definitely dupes in here, but this palette has more variety as a whole, since it contains more shades.

There are 20 shades in the Revealed 2 palette, so 8 more shades compared to Naked 3. For those who think the Naked 3 isn’t versatile enough and that every combination looks the same, you may want to take a look at this palette. Revealed 2 has golds, peaches, pinks, and even a black shade. It is still a warm-learning neutral palette, but with a little more than Naked 3 offers.

I am pretty impressed by this palette. The shadows are pigmented, blend well, and they don’t irritate my eyes. My favorite shade, the one I have used the most thus far, is the deep burgundy matte shade in the bottom row.

This palette retails for $20, but it often goes on sale for $10. Either way, it is worth the money; or, you can also look out for a $5 off coupon that often comes with the sampler. I thought that I wouldn’t care much for this palette since I’m a bit of an Urban Decay junkie (I have all 3 Naked palettes and love them); however, I am impressed with this palette and use it often! I’m sure I will definitely pick up the original Revealed palette in the future, since I love this one so much. 🙂
