CoverGirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Foundation Review

We are in a new era of drugstore foundations: they are getting better all the time, are they not? CoverGirl has been a brand that has really surprised me in the last couple years with their foundation. I went through a bottle of the 3-in-1 Stay Fabulous foundation and loved it, so I wanted to try the Ready, Set, Gorgeous foundation as well. I think I like this one even more!

Why do I like this one more? Well, for one it is a little less coverage. You can still achieve medium to full coverage with this; however, it feels more lightweight on my skin than the Stay Fabulous foundation. It does feel thick when it comes out of the tube, but it blends into a thinner consistency. If you don’t blend it well, it WILL look cakey, so don’t apply too much!

This foundation also wears really well. When it fades, it does so naturally, and doesn’t look patchy.

cg2Wearing shade 205 Natural Beige

The shade I have is 205 Natural Beige. I really struggled with getting the right shade match under the white lights of the store lighting. This is not the worst shade I’ve ever had, but it isn’t a perfect match. It seems a little pink; I may need to mix it with another shade or try another shade altogether.

The finish is matte and I have to say that I LOVE the packaging! A squeeze tube? YES, please! It’s so lightweight, easy to toss into a bag, and I don’t have to worry about breaking glass or dipping my fingers into it.

I purchased this from Meijer for about $8 and would repurchase if I find the right shade. I have yet to try the powder and the concealer!

Have you tried this foundation yet? What are your favorite drugstore foundations?
