Flower Beauty Eye-Sea-You Eyeshadow Quad Review

While out doing the glamorous job of buying cat litter I got suckered into the Flower Beauty display and grabbed this beautifully summery eyeshadow quad, Eye-Sea-You. I had a quad from the brand before and it wasn’t very good. Like a glutton for punishment I went back again, because I am always trying to find some understated drugstore gem of an eyeshadow palette that actually works (yes, eyeshadow snob right here).

The quad has four shades: white, gold, blue, and deep brown. All of the shades are shimmery, which isn’t a problem for me. The brown shimmer is very understated though, so it isn’t super shiny or anything.

The swatches came out nicely, but on the lids it is a different story. The white shade is very pigmented and easy to blend, so it is a decent highlight. The brown color is just gorgeous. It does take some time to pack onto the lid. Unfortunately, these shadows tend to fade quickly and it takes some work to get them to stay on. I don’t recommend this quad; however, if you want something that isn’t super pigmented you might like it.

It’s a shame that they fade, because the brown is really rich and beautiful! I’m going to continue to try and make it work, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Also, I should mention they fade with a primer. I’ve been using the Smashbox 24 Hour eye primer. To give a point of drugstore reference, I wear this primer with Coastal Scents Hot Pots and don’t experience any fading and they wear all day long.

I would skip this quad!
