Let’s get this out of the way: I am truly OBSESSED with this palette. I’ve had this for about a week and a half and I have been using it daily. As an eyeshadow junkie, I can honestly say that doesn’t happen very often, but this new palette from Make Up For Ever is just beautiful.
This palette has nine eyeshadows in the newish Artist Shadow formula. The shadows are the same quality as the singles, so you aren’t getting lesser quality (hooray!). Although the pans are smaller, the palette pans contain .06 ounces, and the regular shadows contain .07 ounces, so the amount of product isn’t terribly different.

Typically, my favorite eyeshadow formula has been Urban Decay, but the MUFE Artist Shadows are definitely rivaling my beloved UD palettes right now. The shadows in this palette are smooth and vibrant, stay all day, and they don’t fade. The colors are also different enough from other nude palettes I have to justify the purchase. Originally, I really went back and forth on getting this palette, but I am so happy that I did (my only regret is buying it two days after the VIB sale ended).
One thing to note is that there are NO matte shades in this palette. That is definitely not a deal breaker for me, but I know some people rely on mattes daily. I’m not one of those people.
Another thing I think is worth mentioning is how much I like the black shade. I am not a wearer of black shadows; however, I have used this one a few times already as both a crease shade and an eye liner. This is a very easy black shadow to use.
If you’re thinking about picking up this palette, I definitely recommend checking it out! If you’re already a fan of the Artist Shadow formula, you will probably love this palette. I am also tempted to buy the more colorful one, but am determined to resist! 😉
