ColourPop Mondays in Malibu Eyeshadow Set Swatches & Review

Malibu*Purchased by me

ColourPop has a new eyeshadow collection for summer, entitled Mondays in Malibu.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Channel your summer glow with these limited edition shades. Warm bronzes, glowy opals and pretty pastels create the perfect summer looks – rather you are lazing on Malibu Beach or shopping at the Country Mart.

When I saw the swatches, I was pretty excited, as the colors looked right up my alley. I wanted the Where the Light Is set, but decided that these colors were more unique to what I already have.

This collection has six shades:

Gecko- Pearlized
Snakebite- Ultra-Metallic
Sand Swoon- Satin LuxePrickly Pear- Metallic
Mirage- Pearlized
Hot Tamale- Satin Luxe

I’ve had some time to experiment with these, and am happy with the quality. Each shade is very pigmented. Although some have expressed difficulty in applying these, ColourPop provides an instructional card that states the best way to apply these shadows. If you’re using a natural brush, switch to synthetic, as it is much easier to blend. I also like to apply these with a sponge tip applicator or even just by using my fingers.

Unfortunately, this set is limited edition! My favorite shade in the set is Mirage, as I don’t have anything else like it. I also really like Prickly Pear and Snakebite.

This set is $30. I’m not sure how long it will be available though, so if you like it, you might want to grab it now! 🙂
