Laura Geller Portofino Getaway Kit

getaway*purchased by me

It has been quite some time since I purchased anything from Laura Geller. When I saw this kit at Ulta, I went home, couldn’t stop thinking about it, and went back the next day to purchase it! I mostly wanted it to try out the highlighter and baked body frosting, but am happy to report that I love the lip gloss, too!

This kit contains 5 items, and it’s priced at $39:

  • Baked Body Frosting in Tahitian Glow
  • Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla
  • Color Drenched Lip Gloss in Ginger
  • StyleLASH Intense Lengthening Mascara in Black
  • Double Ended Highlighter Brush

I love this baked body frosting! I use it as both a blush and a bronzer. It’s easy to get a nice glow, but it still has just a teeny-tiny bit of pink to make a good blush, depending on your skin tone. It’s very soft and easy to blend, but it also has great staying power.

The baked highlighter in French Vanilla is something I’ve heard about for a long time, but never tried out. It is very gorgeous and gives a lovely, glowy sheen without being a glitterbomb. I love glittery, high shine highlights, but do appreciate something that is subtle as well. I don’t have anything quite like this highlighter!

I love the lip gloss, as it’s a gorgeous coral shade, and it’s very opaque. It isn’t sticky and it smells like vanilla cupcakes.

The brush is terrible (I actually threw it out after trying it…), and I have yet to use the mascara yet.

That said, I think this kit is worth $39 for what you get in it, and it’s a great way to try out the Laura Geller brand. If you’re a sucker for summery things like I am, you’ll probably love this kit! 🙂

Hi Melissa, does the body frosting have a lot of fall out when you swirl a brush on it? Does it accentuate pores? Does the vanilla highlighter show up well on your skin? (I have problems with highlighter not showing up on my very pale skin.)

Hi Erin! I don’t find that it accentuates pores. It has a little bit of fall out, but nothing crazy. The vanilla highlighter does show up on my skin, but it is very subtle.
