L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2 Review + Swatches

nude2*Purchased by me

Like a lot of people, I have been craving the Naked Smoky palette. There are so many reasons why I don’t need this palette:

1- I have the other 3
2- I probably have all of those shades in the other palettes, plus other eyeshadows
3-I don’t wear smoky eyes very often
4- There are other things I would rather spend $54 on right now, like races

Funnily enough, it’s the L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2 palette that is satisfying my Naked Smoky desires, even though they are not similar to each other. I had no plans of picking up the La Palettes, but when L’Oreal was 20% off at Meijer and I had a coupon for $3 off, I was able to snag it for $10 and some change instead of the typical $15-$20 at various retailers. I am terrible at couponing, so that was a victory. ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyway, color me surprised by this palette. I LOVE it!

There are 10 colors in this palette, some mattes and some shimmers. There’s nothing glittery or chunky in this palette. The shade range is mostly mauve and brown-rose, but it seems to be more diverse than the Naked 3 palette, which is more pink.

I adore the colors in this palette and think it will be especially great for fall. Everything is quite smooth and pigmented. The last matte eggplant shade to the far right is a little patchy, but since this is the shade that I will use the least, that’s not a big deal to me.ย  I use this with a primer and it doesn’t fade, and wears nicely.

Overall, this is a great palette! The only thing I really dislike about it is the name. It’s just so blah…but whatever, the quality is good, and I’m really pleased with it. ๐Ÿ™‚
