Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer in Off-Duty

SB*Purchased by me

Liquid lipsticks are hugely popular right now. I typically find them very drying, and generally don’t like long wear lip products for that reason. The Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquers ($24 for the full size tube) are a gloss/stain hybrid and not your traditional liquid lipstick.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lip color’s propriety blend of vibrant staining pigments, glossy-finish pearls, and conditioning vitamin E lets lips pop with vibrant, true color that lasts. The glossy-finish pearls and conditioning vitamin E achieve a velvety, lacquer-like finish that stays put without feeling tacky or drying. Infused with maximum staining pigments, this formula stretches saturated, long-wearing lip color to the limit, leaving a comfortable and non-drying, stay-put finish.

SB3I absolutely LOVE this formula. It is so glossy, and absolutely gorgeous on the lips! Plus, it is NOT drying at all, and really is long-lasting. Actually, the first time I wore it, I put it on around 4 in the afternoon. The next morning when I woke up, I noticed that there was still a stain on my lips from it, so the color lasted for around 15 hours.

Another perk is that this gloss isn’t sticky and it is very lightweight.

SB4Off-Duty is described as “nude pink brown”, which is accurate in the tube. This color seems to lean brown peach on me, which I don’t mind, as I love the color.

Have you tried this formula before, and do you like it? This formula seems like it would vary depending on color choice. There are currently 3 shades on sale at Sephora for $15 and I am thinking of getting one. πŸ™‚
