ColourPop Daddy is a matte pressed pigment in a beautifully vibrant lilac shade. This color, though bright, is surprisingly flattering. I have been wearing this quite a bit lately, as I love it mixed with simple neutrals (especially the Sephora Sunbleached Palette).
The texture of ColourPop’s matte shadows, in my experience, is that they dry quickly. There are warnings to keep the lids shut tight because of this; however, I find that mine still end up dry. Mattes, especially when they are bright like this, tend to be a little dry anyway. I don’t find it bothersome, but worth noting. It doesn’t seem to affect the application in any way.
I typically apply these shadows with my fingers, because that is what is recommend. If they need any smoothing, I use a silicone applicator (I use ones from MAC).
Daddy is VERY pigmented. The swatch above is just one swipe without primer. Isn’t it beautiful? It is a lot more wearable than it seems as well. It is bright, but it isn’t obnoxious either.
I love this shade and would repurchase it (especially since I’ve already hit pan!).
Thanks to your review on Colourpop Cake I now own 10 of their lippies and 3 of their eyeshadows! 🙂 lol Wow Daddy is gorgeous! I must have that purple..like yesterday!!
Ooh, any must have lippies?? I am probably going to get more eyeshadow soon. 😀 I can’t stay away!
