Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel Review + Giveaway!

shiseido*Press sample

This review is a long time coming, and I’m talking about the Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel. I mentioned it in a favorites post awhile ago, and here I am finally getting around to talking about it a little more. 🙂

Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel rapidly repairs breakouts, roughness, and dry patches while minimizing the appearance of visible pores. This multitasking formula leaves skin feeling supple and smooth, while its dewy concentrated gel texture moisturizes and adheres well to trouble areas. Rescue skin with this rebalancing formula that gives skin a smoother, more beautiful appearance.

I can’t speak for how it performs on breakouts, because that is not an issue I have problems with very often (maybe if I’m allergic to something). That said, I can relate to having “stressed” skin and visible pores at times.

I really like the texture of this gel. It is very smooth, and after dipping your fingers in it, the product returns to its normal shape, so it looks brand new all the time. It’s kind of “bouncy” if you will. It also has a light scent that disappears when applied.

What I love about this gel:

  • Skin looks refreshed
  • Instant skin pick-me-up
  • Extra moisture
  • Soothing
  • Skin is smoother
  • Improves the look of pores

For me, this has become a go-to product on my early mornings. I have a full-time job and teach a class at a college two days a week. There are some days (we all have them) where work just gets to me and I feel like the stress does sometimes take its toll on my skin. These are the days where I especially love this product, because I get an instant boost in my complexion.

I also love how soothing this is on my face, and it is an excellent base layer for foundation. When used with an SPF or extra moisturizer, it isn’t heavy on my skin.

While I’m not completely sure that these are dupes, this product reminds me of the Garnier Moisture Refresh Gel Cream (though the Garnier is runnier and not “bouncy” like the Shiseido).

And now the fun part: a giveaway! I’m giving away one jar of Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel. Here are the rules:

My skin has went from being crazy oily to bone dry in the last couple of months (medication, bleh), and I am having the hardest time finding something that works for me. I got a deluxe sample a few weeks ago of Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb and I have been so impressed! My dry scaly patches were gone in one use! I just bought a full-sized tub this weekend, I’m keeping my fingers crossed it continues to work as well! 😀

  4. Birdiebee says:

I don’t have a favorite skincare product as I have moved to a different state where the air and water are much harsher on my skin & I am still trying to find something that works for me.
