Ralph Lauren Tender Romance Review

romance*sent for review from Influenster

The Ralph Lauren fragrance house has developed another scent under the popular ‘Romance’ line. Tender Romance is an oriental floral meant to spark the memory of falling in love.

Top notes: Bergamot, ginger and pear
Middle notes: White ginger lily, white magnolia and jasmine
Base notes: Cashmere wood, benzoin and musk

To my surprise, this fragrance is quite sugary sweet, reminiscent of a warm, cotton candy and sugar scent. It certainly feels more gourmand than expected– the blend of ginger, pear, and musk are hitting that chord. That said, this has more maturity than other cotton candy scents, like the ever-so-popular Aquolina Pink Sugar. In terms of sweetness, it is more along the lines of something like Viva La Juicy.

I found this perfume quite long lasting with good projection, and it indeed carries connotations of romance. It smells like a happy, spring or summer day–perhaps a first date or the beginning of a new relationship. I think this would be a lovely scent for a bride, as this scent has a darling innocence to it–this perfume simply smells like someone who is very happy.

Overall, this scent is quite pretty and worth checking out if you want something on the sweet side, but not cloying.
