May 2016 Sephora Play! Box

play1*Purchased by me

I have been waiting for the Play! subscription box from Sephora to open up in my neck of the woods basically since it started. For $10 per month, you receive a selection of products from Sephora, as well as a card that can be scanned for 50 extra points (only if you purchase something).

This is my first Play! box and the theme is “The Forces of Nature.”  Everything came wrapped up in this adorable drawstring bag that reads “Let’s beauty together.” The box contains six items that are deluxe sample sized.

Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask (full price $36): This is supposed to soften hair and reduce frizz. I love trying out hair masks, so I will have fun with this one. Plus, my hair is naturally wavy, so it does get frizzy sometimes.

Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial (full price $48): This overnight treatment contains vitamin C to improve fine lines and overall skin tone. It is recommended to apply the mask after showering so that pores are more open to receive the ingredients. It smells like real roses, and is supposed to melt into your skin.

play2Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Kimchi (full size $26): I can’t even tell you how many times I have added one of these to my Sephora shopping cart only to put it back. I am excited to see how I like this formula. I tried it on and love the color, but I haven’t worn it long enough to fully test. It does feel quite slippery, so I’m wondering if it will stay on.

play5Latergram, Kimchi

Tarteist Lip Crayon in Latergram (full size $18): This is described as mauve, but in person I think it looks more like a terracotta color. It has been awhile since I used anything from Tarte, so this will be fun. The color is right up my alley, too!

Origins Maskimizer + Drink Up and Clear Improvement Masks ($22 full size for Maskimizer): The Maskimizer mist is supposed to optimize the skin before applying the masks. I have enjoyed products from Origins in the past, and I love trying new masks and skincare.

Overall, the Play! subscription is a hit for now. I can’t wait to see what is coming up for June!
