Urban Decay Vice Lipstick: Gash

gash3*sample

I’m testing out another Urban Decay Vice lipstick today, this time in the shade Gash. From what I know, Gash is a color that is somewhat of a cult classic. Compared to Rock Steady, it is a lot cooler in tone (this is blue based compared to yellow based) and even more shiny. It is described as “deep red with tonal shimmer” and is recommended to pair with Gash lip liner.

gash1Like Rock Steady, this formula is very moisturizing and a little slippery; I definitely would benefit from wearing this with a lip liner! This one is actually a little more slippery in that it does leave a little bit of residue on a glass while drinking, but throughout the day wears away evenly.

Gash is very shimmery and shiny; it’s not one of the metallic finish lipsticks, but it does have a metallic sheen when it catches the light. It’s also one of those shades that brightens teeth, which is always appreciated! 🙂

gash2Overall, Gash is a beautiful red–classic with a twist! It’s deep, but not uncomfortably vampy. I love the shine and this formula is killing it! If you like moisturizing lipsticks, you will probably enjoy the new Vice formula (at least with the creams–I haven’t tried the other formulas yet, but will!).
