Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Face Palette Review

becca3*purchased by me

The Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Face palette ($52) contains two highlighters and three blushes in the following shades:

Mineral blush in Amaretto (matte almond)
Luminous blush in Rose Spritz (peachy pink with gold shimmer)
Mineral blush in Pamplemousse blush (matte warm coral)
Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop highlight (peach)
Shimmering Skin Perfector Prosecco Pop highlight (gold)

There has been all sorts of internet drama regarding the eyeshadow palette in this collection; however, I have no interest in drama, only beautiful makeup. 🙂

The big reason I purchased this palette was actually for the blushes. I’ve been wanting to try the new luminous blush formula and already love the mineral blush formula, plus I am a highlighter addict, so this face palette was a bargain in my humble opinion.

becca6The packaging is absolutely stunning. It is very substantial and has a huge mirror. The outside is white with some gold and silver accents, and the inside of the palette is gold.

I do think the quality of this palette is different than regular Becca products. The highlighters in particular are drier and seem chunkier than the regular shimmering skin perfectors. That said, they still perform well enough; they’re simply not as smooth. Champagne Pop and Prosecco are beautiful on their own, but I actually prefer them mixed together. Prosecco is straight up yellow gold, which would be stunning on medium to deep skin tones especially.

I think this palette is the perfect example of why I rarely buy holiday kits and palettes. It is fantastic to get a variety of products at a lower price point; however, the quality is just not the same as purchasing individual items.

Overall, I like this palette and will definitely get use out of it, especially the blushes. For me, this was worth the money just for Amaretto and Rose Spritz. Unfortunately, there is a LOT of negative press surrounding this collection. To be honest, it has really put a negative cast on the Becca brand in my eyes.

What do you think about this palette and the collection in general?
