Touch in Sol Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter Eyeshadow Duo

tos2*purchased by me

The Touch in Sol Metallist eyeshadow ($25) is a combination foil and glitter cream eyeshadow duo. I have the shade “Lottie,” which is the plum duo. This is a Korean brand that I had never tried before purchasing this set (which I did so during the recent VIB sale).

tosI chose Lottie because this duo seemed very unique compared to the others; I love the purple taupe shade and the deep rose gold, almost copper glitter. I thought these would be similar to the Maybelline cream Color Tattoos, but this kit is much more intense.

tos3Much to my surprise, the glitter doesn’t fall out everywhere. There is some, but nothing that is impossible to remove. It also stays PUT for over 12 hours, which is a big bonus. The glitter side is on a flat plastic applicator.

tos4The foil side has a different kind of applicator; a fuzzy doe foot. Both work just fine for me and make the shadows very easy to apply, even though I have deep set eyes.

Both colors glide right onto the eyes, and can be worn alone or with other shadows on top. The color payoff is VERY bold, which I love. If you’re older and self conscious about fine lines on your eyes, you might not like this. But if you’re like me and really don’t care (although I’m only 35), you will probably love this shadow.

eye2In the photo above I’m only wearing eye makeup and it’s a poor phone photo (thanks to an allergic reaction to a moisturizer that I used a whole jar of in the past…weird), but you can see the intensity of the glitter shade. These shades are both high shine!

Now that I am so crazy about this color, I of course want to try more, but it is a pretty expensive product for what you’re getting. It is one of those things that you will need to use frequently to get your money’s worth, since cream products tend to go south more quickly than powder products.

That said, I’m really happy with this duo and think it is awesome for the holidays! I have been wearing both shades frequently with my Anastasia palettes that I depotted.

Have you tried anything from Touch in Sol?
