December 2016 Favorites + 1 FAIL

fave3And here we are, rolling into a new year! I just posted some current favorites a few weeks ago, but I’m trying to get back on the monthly train, so here we go. 🙂 Plus, I have one fail!

Two skincare items: The Derma E Purifying Youth Serum and Clean & Clear Deep Action Cleanser. The serum is so gentle and super moisturizing. With the cold temps, the extra hydration is much appreciated in my daily routine! The Clean & Clear cleanser is a blast from the past! I was out of town and forgot to bring face wash, so I grabbed this old favorite from Walgreens. I used it college AND high school and just love how cooling it is.

My palette favorites are BIG favorites; like, using almost every day favorites. First is the Ciate Pretty, Fun, & Fearless palette. I did a look with this here if you haven’t seen it, but WOW I am so in love with it now!! This palette is amazing if you have a chance to buy the kit. I used it all through the holidays, too.

I’m also loving the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette. I use this in conjunction with all of the bright colors that I usually wear on a daily basis. It is also fantastic for using with single shades. I do wear it on its own every once in awhile, and the times that I have, I did get a few compliments from strangers!

Another favorite is the Down to Earth palette from The Body Shop in 01 (which was sent to me). This little number is a surprisingly versatile little palette! That said, it’s super easy to create looks with if you want to do the same thing daily.

My last shadow favorite is the Kevyn Aucoin 216 Duo in Silvered Lilac/Bloodroses. I am completely obsessed with this duo! The colors are rich and blend beautifully. fave

Before I get to the fail, my favorite perfume this month was  Verveine from L’Occitane. Basically, it’s lemons in a jar and one of my absolute favorite fragrances.

My last item is a fail, and that’s the Julep Matte Lip Mousse in Pillow Talk. Ugh, what a HORRIBLE lip product for someone with dry lips. I know it’s matte, but there are some mattes I can wear. This just happens to be one that I cannot get on board with. The color is gorgeous and I like how lightweight it is, but when it dries, it is a nightmare on me.

What have you been loving lately?

Ciate palette looks so beautiful! I just got Peach palette from Too faced. Omg, it sticks so good to their shadow insurance primer. I didn’t expect them to be actually that intense. I usually wear Naked 3 and it’s more “calm” let’s say:)
