Two weeks ago I was on my way to Disney World; unfortunately those vacations just fly by, don’t they? We were there for marathon weekend and I decided to splurge on something special while we were there: my first Pandora bracelet!
Now, let’s back up. 🙂 I didn’t know anything about Pandora bracelets beforehand, so I did a lot of research on my investment and what is needed to maintain a bracelet. There is a lot that goes into it, which I will save for another day.
Besides researching how to take care of a Pandora bracelet, I scoped out charms. I knew I wanted a Disney-themed bracelet because besides being a Disnerd, I thought it would be fun to get a new charm on each trip we take (at the moment we’re doing runDisney Coast-to-Coast races each year, so twice per year we’re headed to Disneyland or WDW).
There are different price points for the bracelet itself, but I ended up paying a little more to get one with the castle on the clasp. Yes, I am that dedicated. 😉 My bracelet is 8.3 inches (21 cm). I’m not sure how this will fit when it’s full, but you do want to start with something looser, because with the added charms, you lose space.
My first charm is Snow White’s apple. I wish the sun had been out when I took these photos, because dull, winter, gray, bleak, depressing sky doesn’t really do the charms justice. Believe me when I say they are prettier in person than in stock photos or my photos. 🙂
The next one I chose is a murano glass charm from Jasmine’s collection. Jasmine isn’t my favorite princess, but I LOVE turquoise.
Finally, the last one is the Disneyland 60 charm, which is the one I ordered online (on sale, yay!). I was at Disneyland during the 60th anniversary celebration and wanted something “Disneyland 60” themed, but nothing caught my eye. Waiting paid off, because now I have this charm and am loving it!
The next additions I will make to the bracelet are clips to stabilize the band from the weight of the charms (which I never would have known about if not for researching and talking to someone working at Disney).
Of course, I’m already daydreaming about my non-Disney Pandora bracelet that will hopefully be a purchase in the near future, but for now I am really happy with this one. 🙂
